Crossing the Sidewalk

by shaun lawton

In the unfolding blossoming
of the vacuumed nectar
of the deepest recesses in outer space
a galvanic mass that counters the turbulence
and can pass for the mask of a face

  Peers in leering disorder
above in the stormy skies
    cast from the reflection
off a rippling rainbow
escaping a spectrum of shattered supplies
 irradiating passing showers of renewal

Caught constantly in between
opposing forces
  in crucified harmony
 held on the throne
that not even all the wild horses
  of the universe
 could have shown

A shining echo of a reflection
cast off a rippling lake long gone
vanished in the wake of a memory
lulled into a sense of forgotten dream
